    Setting Sail

    Since 1993, the Southwest Maritime Group of Companies has been owning and operating local and foreign LPG tankers, as well as managing other aspects of LPG distribution, for clients across Asia. On May 26, 2000, the Group incorporated Southwest Ships Agencies Inc. (SSAI) in the Philippines as its subsidiary.

  • The Company was formed to address the needs of domestic and foreign flag LPG tanker vessels plying Philippine waters. With its dedicated support staff and efficient network facilities, SSAI ensures quick and trouble-free vessel dispatching.

SOUTHWEST AGENCIES OFFERS YOU THE FOLLOWING SERVICES

1. Husbandry Services

  • Handling of crew change as well as assistance to ship's inspectors and Owner's/Charterer's representative
  • Arranging of ship's provisions and fresh water
  • Cash to Master
  • Ship's spare parts clearance and delivery
  • In view of our good business relationship with the government agencies such as ports and immigration authorities including local suppliers, we ensure efficient, timely delivery of services at the most economical cost.





 

2. Full Agency Services

Our ship's agent expertise in the agency business takes care for all the routinary functions of a ship agency company for the best interest of the Ship Owner's/Charterers as well as the Cargo Receiver. The responsibilities of a ship agents include:

  • Arrange for vessel berth allocation
  • Coordinate with the pilots and tug company
  • Compilation of documentation requirements for the customs, immigration and other government agencies
  • Conveying instructions to/from the Ship Owner's/Charterer and/or Receiver
  • Reporting the vessel status as required
  • Checking the correctness of cargo documents/manifest/SOF
  • Receipt of vessel fund and ensure full payment of the vessel's related port cost
  • In cases of damage to the vessel or the cargo, agent to ensure preparation of notice of protest by the Master
  • Other related services as required





 

3. Protective Agent

Assist Owner's/Manager's supervise the agency function as well as the port call operations










 

4. Bunkering

We ensure complete compliance with all the documentation requirements of the government agencies on the need for the vessel to do bunkering at local port.
